August 1993
The Vintage Auto Sprints at Christie
The Vintage Auto Sprints at Christie were held, to my knowledge, in '93, '94, and '95. A 1 km course was set up in the roads that wound through Christie Conservation Area on Hwy 5 east of Peters Corner.

Originally, I think, it was supposed to be for pre-war cars but opened up to post-war cars.

The area was open and not crowded. Maybe more spectators would have helped keep it going. Stakes with caution tape separated the spectators from the cars

These pictures come from underexposed slides taken at the time. They may not be the greatest, but I am still amazed I reached this quality.

My program for the day is missing, so I cannot provide any details on anything other than what drove me there.

Enjoy
