2009 Bronte Creek Provincial Park British Car Day

Three cheers to the Toronto Triumph Club as they pull in a great day in September. I do not know what the car count was, but I could not see it all.

Elva and I went around to get pictures club members' cars. We could not get all of you. Any pictures you have I would be more than happy to pop them up here.

I have compiled a list of BSCCoC Club members who were voted tops in their classes. Its off to the right here. If there is anything wrong or missing from the list let me know. If anyone has pictures of these cars and/or their owners I would really appreciate you sending them in.

David Wood

This long and winding road can sometimes be the hardest part of the journey to Bronte

David Wood

Overheating cars to the right, non-overheating cars to the left

David Wood

This is where you go when on the right

Elva Allen

But for those who made it (most of us), there were fields of British cars and people

Elva Allen

Dave and Elva Allen's Mini Nigel. From here it is off to the Club tent

David Wood

Bill Davies Triumph TR-7

David Wood

John Tatham is here to keep the rowdies, across the road, under control

Elva Allen

And, here are said rowdies. Tony and Roger!

Elva Allen

Why, because they have been noted for the use of press gang tactics to get new members.

David Wood

Nick and Ingrid Beck's '74 Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300

David Wood

Rowan Atkinson popped around looking for Mr Bean's Mini.
Any one see a Mini with a padlock??

David Wood

Mark Margetts' '69 Austin America. It is not a Mini!

David Wood

Now this is a real Mini. Jeff Fenwick's '78 Mini

Elva Allen

This is Jeff Fenwick's other Mini, an '80 Austin Mini 1000

David Wood

Next is Derek Fisher's '78 Mini 1000

Elva Allen

This is Tamer (Matthew Metwalli) next to his '76 Mini. This car is in a constant state of modification. If you blink, you could miss something.

David Wood

This is Tamer's latest modification. A carbon fiber roof. The original steel roof weighed 25 lbs. This new composite roof weighed 5 lbs.

David Wood

This always grabs our attention!

David Wood

And it was on Maude, the '76 Mini Clubman of Ryan Adams. His father told me of the difficulties in getting bodywork from the bulkhead forward as none of these are reproduced. Check out the website for more info.

David Wood

This '73 Mini 1000, owned by Tim (Timini) Lorimer of Toronto has a different graphic on the roof.

David Wood

This Maple Leaf in a blue rondel.

David Wood

Tony Reflecting in Matt and Colin West's '73 Triumph Stag bonnet

David Wood

The West's Stag has many grill badges adorning it.

David Wood

This is a beautiful car

David Wood

Next time I see one of them I have to ask where this Stag ornament came from

Tony Fox

Henry Murray in his Stag

David Wood

Paul and Jan Dullaert's 1953 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn.
This is a left hand drive car with an automatic gearbox

David Wood

David Wood

The Deloreans have come, the Deloreans have come!

David Wood

Fall driving attire

David Wood

Martin Beer's 1935 Morgan F-Type. This is minimal motoring.

David Wood

David Wood

George Morin's 1948 Rover P3 Series 75 Export Model

David Wood

Alan Brand's Jaguar, Gracie. The last time it appeared on this site (and still does) it was all masked off for some touchup at the beginning of summer.

Elva Allen

Patrick Wilson's '60 Ford Zodiac Mk II

Elva Allen

Larry Reed's 1970 Bond Bug

Elva Allen

Lloyd McBride's 1961 Wolseley 6/99

Elva Allen

Keith Couchaine's 1961 Ford Anglia 105E
