Ancaster 2013, It Dosn't Get Better Than This

The weather was great, warm enough to bring out numerous cars. The outdoor vendors were not harassed by cold icy winds blowing snow and sleet through them or their wares. I was outside for the morning and into the early afternoon talking and taking pictures. Gerry Hancock was here doing much the same. Between the two of us I think we pretty much covered Ancaster

David Wood

The first clue, to us who came in from the regular parking lot, that this was British was an ad for MG TD tires. Good so far

David Wood

The volunteers manning the Brit Car gate had a steady stream of people and their cars coming in

David Wood

And the Healey will park with the Trimph

David Wood

Who says an MGA can't be practical? It is perfect to haul a spare MGB fender

David Wood

Bill Davies has started bringing his Consul back to its former glory

David Wood

The perfect day for for an Austin Healey

Mini Clubmans or Clubmen?

Brad Wilson of MGF Cars

With a nice white MGF, one of the cars he sells

It is a LHD car, so I thought it was a European import

David Wood

But it had a British Tax tag.
Brad explained it was a British import that had been converted to LHD, a fairly simple job as these conversions go.

Gerry Hancock

This is Mike Fox's A95, he has had it for years and now it is up for sale.

This name will be recongnized by many of you but not all.

This is a Devin Bodied Triumph TR4

David Wood

Most Devin bodies went into race specials but some did find their way into road cars.

A Mini I have not seen in quite a while

David Wood

A great club gone into history now. They brought baked goods to Ancaster

Vendors outside. It was a great day with no snow, rain, sleet or other things that slow down the mail

Some typical wares

Gerry Hancock

Ian Young had trailered many parts in

Gerry Hancock

One of them was this BMC B, that run a fair amount of time

This is a very rare car that everybody noticed.

It was in sorry shape to say, but I have seen worse restored.
But I don't think the price was too bad

David Wood

It ws dug out of a barn in Woodstock Ontario.
Monday there were enquiries about it.
After a posting to our Facebook site and to Britcartalk
Allen Bachelder found the ad on Kijiji. The listing is now gone.
So, it may have found a home. Now we want to know where :)
