July 3rd, 2014

Kincardine's Lighthouse Blues Festival
And British Car Show

It could not have been a better day; it was one of those unusually cool days in July. Bugsy loved it at 3750 RPM on the way up to Dave and Elva's. And he did not mind it at 4250 RPM from there to the show at Kincardine. Dave drives a little faster than I do :) .

The show was not huge, the local cars of the Kincardine Area British Car Club, the show organizer, were in attendance with some from the Waterloo British Car Club, and us! It would have been five but Rob Ockenden had some brake problems, which I am sure will be soon solved.

There was Blues to go along with the cars, as it was primarily a Blues Festival, and other stuff found in any town street festival.

I did not get any pictures of the motorbikes, sorry. I'll do better next year. I did get car pictures and some of the afternoon performers. Catch more on the festival at Kincardine News, and the Lighthouse Blues Fest sites.

Enjoy!

This '69 Lotus Elan +2 is a "SawzAll" convertible. When Don Horne bought this car it had a fabric sun/moon roof, which just did not work. A UK company does this conversion but wanted the car itself. Problem was this car was in Canada so, in time, the company was persuaded to sell him the parts with instuctions.
