Club Picnic

Well, it wasn't the glorious sunny day we were expecting, but at least the rain held off for the annual Club picnic at Country Heritage Park in Milton last weekend.

About 15 cars turned up, which was excellent, considering the attractions of several competing events that day.

Oldest car on the field was Doug Black's beautiful 1947 Jaguar 3Ĺ-litre (later known as a Mark IV after the Mark V was introduced), closely followed by George Morita's 1949 Bentley Mark VI.

That's Doug Black showing off his Jaguar engine to John Wright.

A welcome newcomer to the event was Stuart Colt, who drove his 1958 M.G. ZB from St. Catherines. Also of note were Brendan & Dermot O'Hara's 1961 Wolseley 6/99, and Gary Bailey's 1961 Jaguar Mark IX.

Sorry I canít mention all of you.

Thanks for coming out, and thanks once again to Chuck for getting the venue for us!

See you next year, John Griffith.
