July 2nd 2015

Hockley Valley Hill Climb Revival 2015

I think the number of participants doubled this year from last. I heard a count of 40 cars.

Rupert Lloyd Thomas and the Headwaters British Car Club organized the event, keeping the cars flowing up the course, along with all of the resident cars just using the road. It has been paramount to keep the residents happy through the years. So far it seems to be working.

Enjoy!

The Gathering, Hockley General Store

The small village of Hockley Valley was awash with British and European sports cars of all vintages, as participants gathered at the Hockley General Store.

Driving To the Course

The drive from Hockley Valley to the course is a 5 mile drive along a great windy road on, appropriately, Hockley Valley Road

Coming Down the Mountain

The runs ended just short of noon with the cars starting to come down the hill. Some disappeared into the backroads and were never seen again.

By 1:00PM everybody scattered like teenagers leaving their favourite drag strip road.

You may think I have all of my pictures here. Believe it, or not, these are edited down. What I have done is put every picture that looked even reasonable up to my flickr account. Anybody who wants a picture, grab it. I should have everything set so you can download the largest picture.
