Thursday Night Pier 4 Cruise

Looks like it turned out to be a beautiful evening, with plenty of BritCars in attendance. Check out story and pictures from Tony Fox

Wellington County Museum Car Show

This is where you have to review your knowledge of parking on a hill! I call it the car show on a slant. This year was the 38th Annual edition. There was quite a good turnout of British cars to mix in with the North American cars on the field.

British Car Council of Canada
2nd Annual Toy Drive

We would like to invite British car owners and members of British car clubs to join us.

When. On Sunday, October 6th, (rain or shine)

Where. The event will take place at the Country Heritage Park in Milton, Ontario, starting at 9:00am. (enter at the South entrance off Tremaine Road)

What you get.

Everyone in a British car, will get free admittance to the park. (normally, $8). Each person will be given a ticket for a number of draw prizes, to be held in the mid-afternoon.

The first 100 people to register, will be given tickets for tea/coffee and a doughnut in the morning. Also a ticket for a bowl of homemade soup, a bread roll and a dessert after the optional run returns. The park staff have very kindly given permission for us to use the old Ford garage, with its antique petrol pumps, for photo opportunities with our cars.

This year we’ll have entertainment supplied by the Oakville/Georgetown Celtic Fiddle Orchestra, Folk band “Tethera” and the Orange Peel Morris Dancers.

Cost. We ask that you bring a new, unwrapped gift for a child or a teenager, which will be collected as part of the Salvation Army Toy Drive.

The onsite caterer will have some extra food for sale, but The Country Heritage Park is a lovely spot, and so you may want to pack a picnic.

Tour Master Paul Dullaert has organised an optional, but highly recommended, scenic drive through the Fall colours of the Niagara Escarpment, for a duration of an hour and ten minutes, to leave at Midday. When the tour returns, we’ll have lunch, draw the prizes and the rest of the afternoon you’ll be free to explore the park and the historic buildings and enjoy the entertainment.

Please plan to attend; this will likely be one of the last events of the year!

So let’s give some less fortunate children here in Ontario a great Christmas!

Tiger In Your Tank

Here the Esso Tiger pumps more Tiger into the tank of this Herald. I wonder if the guy in the suit has had problems with kids.

Almost a Tiger

A week or so ago Jon Tipple posted this picture to our Facebook Site. Cars and trucks have been used by railway lines since the car was introduced. They were big, they were small, some could run on both rail and street.

I doubt it was a Cooper, but with some black stripes it could be a Tiger!

I Want Stuff

Baby Pictures

Find pictures showing you with your new car. Past or present, it does not matter. If you only have pictures of the car, when new(ish), find them too.

Favourite Tour Routes

Most of us have our cars for driving. We have routes from country back roads to windy river and escarpment roads.

Send me your favourite tour routes. I'll do my best to map them out and put them up.
